Fine Art Wedding Albums
It's not every day you buy a Wedding Album so you want to know all the options availible.
Hopefully the following information will you help you to become an album expert and make choosing the right album for you simple and straightforward.
The albums we supply have been manufactured by hand in the UK since 2010.
Using the finest quality cover materials, papers, inks and the latest printing techniques Fine Art Books have become the industry standard for luxurious wedding albums.
With a Fine Art Album your images are printed directly on to fine art, matte paper to create a double page spread that opens out flat with an almost invisible crease. This gives greater flexibility with layouts as images can be printed across two pages if needed.
Cover Options
The album cover gives the first glimpse into the story that lies within. Setting the scene it remains a backdrop as the album is held and viewed time and time again.
Each album is individually created by hand with a selection of covers that compliment or contrast in a range of beautiful materials.
With over 50 cover options you can be inspired by the colour of bridesmaids’ dresses, flowers, or the season itself.
Contemporary Leather
This collection is unrivalled in its quality and colour range. Each of the 24 shades has its own unique character and they’re all genuine natural leathers.
Sourced from manufacturers who only have strictest animal welfare policies these contemporary leather covers offer the very finest quality and durability.
If you love the natural and imperfect charaterists of leather to come bursting through then choose either Latte, Sandstone, Dusk, Graphite, Truffle or Saddle. These semi-aniline leathers have wonderful character and soul.
All of the other colours are fully finished leathers with a consistent colour and tone.
Essential Cotton
These high quality 100% cotton covers have a natural, wide weave and a subtle, two-tone effect. Pebble is one of the most popular colours in this range, but it also includes other standout shades such as Denim and Ketchup.

Personalisation
Small details mean a lot. There are a number of personalisation techniques that can make your album personal to you.
You can add names, dates, or even bespoke designs.
Techniques for covers and boxes include time-honoured methods such as debossing, through to modern laser engraving and state-of-the-art printing. Choose from a selection of standard fonts or create your own bespoke options.
Certain methods work best on different cover materials, but we can guide you through to make sure you get the best finish.
Below are the many options we offer for personalising album covers. If you’d like something very bespoke, just let us know – we’re always happy to help.
Debossing
Also known as blind blocking or stamping, but the same magical process. Traditional methods are used to imprint letters into the cover without ink or foil. It’s a tactile and elegant finish.
Laser engraving
To engrave your text or logo, our highly accurate laser removes the material’s top layer to reveal its natural hues beneath.
Cover printing
The latest personalisation technique, but it can achieve either a modern or classic look. We can print directly onto most of our materials in either black or white ink.
Foil blocking
A really eye-catching finish. As with debossing, we imprint letters into the material, but press metallic foil into the indentation.
22 carat gold
We can now finish our leather album covers with real 22 carat gold lettering and logos. It’s a dazzling look and is a first among UK-based album makers.
Palladium
This lustrous silvery-white metal looks heavenly on our leather covers and can be used for either lettering or logos.
Album Fonts
Say something special
Words go hand in hand with images to make an album a truly personal keepsake. They can raise a smile, evoke a memory, commit a date to memory, emphasise a sentiment and much more.
It’s not just the words themselves that are important – the technique and font speak out too.
Debossing is really tactile, for example, while 22 carat gold and palladium give a sense of indulgence and cover printing can be very detailed. When it comes to fonts, serif variants such as Prata and Trajan give a regal air, Bebas and Montserrat have a contemporary edge whilst Magarella is incredibly romantic.
Standard font options
For debossing and foil blocking, they can choose from Bebas, Prata, Helvetica or Coronation. The latter is used in traditional bookbinding and is similar to Century Gothic.
For printing, engraving and 22 carat gold, we offer an even wider choice, which includes Bebas, Bombshell, Century, Century Gothic, Courier, Futura, Gill Sans, Helvetica, Magarella, Melinda, Montserrat, Prata, Times, Trajan and Univers.
Using non-standard fonts
Non standard fonts can be used if you can supply the artwork as a PDF or 600dpi Jpg. There’s no extra charge for recreating the font if it’s being engraved, printed or applied with 22 carat gold. But for debossing or foil blocking a bespoke brass stamp needs to be made so there is an additional charge.
Album Boxes
As standard, all of our Albums arrive in a Kraft Cardboard Box which boast excellent eco-credentials, you can also opt for a personalised Kraft Box.
Kraft Cardboard Boxes are made from 80 per cent recycled material and 20 per cent from FSC sources.
Alternatively, you can upgrade to a stylish Clamshell Box available in a variety of materials
Investment
A beautiful wedding album is so much more than a book. It is a collection of memories and an investment for the future, it become more precious as time passes.
Of course when you first receive your album and the memories are still fresh in your mind it is wonderful to relive the day through the pictures within. I do believe though that the true value of a wedding album is only realised after a period of time, maybe 10, 20 years or more into the future. It is then when the images take on a new meaning and can help introduce a new generation to the lives once lived.
As a guide the price for a 30 page 10x10 inch album with fabric cover is £545 increasing the size to 12x12 and adding a leather cover would be £595
